How It Works
Autofeed is the core feature. It means the gun automatically advances the next staple after each shot. Each cartridge holds 50 staples and feeds through the magazine continuously until empty. When a cartridge runs out, you load a new one and keep going.

1. Load a cartridge of Staple Wasp proprietary staples into the magazine
2. Stand upright and position the base of the gun over your target location
3. Activate the trigger by firmly pushing down the handle — the gun drives the staple
4. Move to the next location and repeat
There’s no air, pneumatic power, or electricity involved. No compressor, no cords, no batteries. The tool weighs approximately 13.5 lbs and is entirely self-contained.
Where It’s Used
Staple Wasp is designed for erosion control blanket (ECB), geotextiles, and weed barrier fabric — anywhere you need to pin flexible fabric or matting flat against the ground.

This isn’t a restriction — it’s what makes the system work. The autofeed mechanism is precision-engineered around the specific dimensions, gauge, and cartridge configuration of Staple Wasp staples. Third-party staples won’t feed reliably and can jam, misfeed, or damage the internal mechanics.
Standard staples: 6”, 13-gauge steel — the same size and shape as most standard blanket installation staples, built to penetrate soil reliably and hold fabric flat under rain, runoff, and foot traffic.
Bio staple: Staple Wasp is actively developing a biodegradable staple option for projects where non-permanent anchorage is required or preferred — including certain MnDOT specs. Ask your sales rep for the current status of the bio staple program.
How many do you need? It depends on the material being installed, required staple spacing, and total footage. Most DOT and manufacturer specs call for staples at 18” to 36” intervals along seams and check slots, with perimeter stapling at edges.
